Far Cry 3 is an action-packed FPS that has a beautiful game world, interesting RPG mechanics, and a wide variety of combatants to test your skills against.

Far Cry has been one of the most popular gaming franchises for over 15 years, and those games have continued to reshape the first-person shooter genre. This unique franchise perfectly blends unique storytelling, huge game worlds, and complex mechanics that keep you coming back for more. In 2012, Ubisoft released Far Cry 3, and that title quickly began to win award after award. While Far Cry 3 was originally released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, a port was created for Windows PCs.

You start this game as a lonely individual who has decided to join a group of tourists on a tropical island. Unfortunately, your tourist group is quickly attacked and captured by a group of evil pirates, and your only option is to escape on your own. Once you are free, you meet with a native tribe that teaches you how to become a powerful warrior. With your new skills and confidence, you decide that it is your job to free the rest of the tourists and eradicate the band of pirates.

Far Cry 3 is set in an immense tropical island that is filled with bloodthirsty pirates, booby traps, and dangerous animals. You can easily spend hours exploring every inch of this island, and there are unique areas and items around every corner. As you investigate, you should eventually find 18 different radio towers that give you a full view of the island. Whenever you climb to the top of a radio tower, a new portion of the island will be revealed, and each area has unique quests and challenges.

Much like the rest of the games in this franchise, you will need to focus on improving your character if you want to survive. From the moment that you escape from the pirates, you must begin boosting your skills and creating new equipment. Various weapons and items are going to make your life much easier when you run into local animals or groups of pirates. While there are a variety of side quests in Far Cry 3, the primary purpose of the game is to take over pirate outposts and give that land back to the natives.

To beat the various quests in this game, you must use a wide variety of tactics including brute force attacks, stealthy advances, and tactical ambushes. The mechanics in Far Cry 3 have an incredible amount of depth, and this title is going to be a great addition to your library if you enjoy complex strategy games that are set in breathtaking environments.
